GeneralGas KryoSmart cylinders are manufactured in compliance with the European T-PED regulation and are refillable an infinite number of times.
The displayed price includes a value of 48.00 euro (6 x 8,00 euro), corresponding to the security deposit of the empty containers; this security deposit constitutes a binding modality for the return of the container for refilling purposes, as provided for by Article 11 paragraph 4 of the new Reg. (EU) Fgas 2024/573.
GeneralGas also provides an effective refill service for the empty container and subsequent return to the customer (HandyGas service), carried out at the GeneralGas plant in Cernusco sul Naviglio (MI).
Thanks to our exclusive HandyGas Refill and Redelivery service, if you return the empty KryoSmart container you will be entitled to receive a new KryoSmart cylinder for the price of the refill only (you will therefore only pay the value of the refrigerant gas).
Note: the cost of shipping the empty container from the customer's warehouse to the GeneralGas plant in Cernusco sul Naviglio is borne by the customer.
NOTE: this cylinder is equipped with valve with 1/2" left ACME connection and pin; to allow the supply of the gas filled in the cylinder, a valve equipped with depressor is required, having 1/2" ACME left inlet and 1/4" SAE right outlet.
Kryon® HFO 1234yf: The ideal low Global Warming Potential refrigerant for mobile air conditioning and chillers
HFO 1234yf has been developed at Buffalo Research Laboratory by Honeywell Fluorochemicals with the aim of replacing R134a in motor vehicle air conditioning.
Its thermodynamic characteristics make HFO 1234yf very similar to R134a in performance, energetic efficiency and working pressures.
By using HFO 1234yf automobile manufacturers have been able to adapt easily systems working with R-134a, and achieve similar performance, sometimes even better; moreover HFO 1234yf was successfully introduced by leading manufacturers of latest generation chiller with high performance. Even compared to carbon dioxide - CO2, HFO 1234yf boasts a better energetic efficiency and a lower contribution to the total greenhouse effect (Direct Effect – Indirect Effect).
Its limited Direct Greenhouse Effect (GWP < 1 kg CO2) makes HFO 1234yf the best possible solution from an environmental point of view.
Applications:
HFO 1234yf is used in air conditioner of new car models and, similarly to HFO1234ze belonging to the same family, also in high performance chillers.
Retrofitting R-134a to HFO 1234yf, is not possible, since HFO 1234yf is slightly flammable.
